Developed Python modules to automate testing of planar lightwave circuits (PLCs), introducing this technology to Thorlabs for the first time. The automation process enabled pre-packaging testing with improved defect detection.
Working directly with the engineering team, I implemented a comprehensive testing solution that allowed for quality control at earlier stages of the manufacturing process, significantly reducing costs and improving product reliability.
Designed and built an automated laser profilometer using Arduino and stepper motors for precise real-time image capture. Developed custom software with Python and OpenCV to analyze laser beam intensity.
